Grass Squared’s final show

Ya, it’s unfortunate but I have to discontinue the show due to lack of interest. Tonight’s final stream will be on

Anyway, thanks for all of you who kept up the support for the radio cast we did since episode 1. It was a rocky start but we did good.

On a side note,  apparently the recent Internet Explorer version allows you to customize the browser.  (About fucking time)

Sheen Roast was hilarious, and life has once again returned to normal status. Be sure to catch MLP S2E3  this saturday, enjoy yourselves bronies.

As for me…well this blog and this show have been quite the haven for me, but I’m gonna have to discontinue this cause I’m too tired of blogging once a day or even once a week and once a month? I might as well just use tumblr. =/

Fuck that.

I’ll blog when I find news of stuffs. See you folks.

Review review~

Well, it seems reviews will continue for the time being~ I’m a little low on material, but this week, I’ll talk a bit about the game that’s been eating away at most of my free time, the online MMO Mabinogi.

Mabinogi is a game loosely based on Irish mythology and has a wide userbase of players.  What seperates it from many, though not all, other MMOs is the wide variety of things one can do to survive and thrive other than combat. The game places less emphasis on level and more on ‘skills’ that can be ranked up. Some of these are combat oriented, others are oriented towards producing or gathering items.

Why do I find Mabinogi to be so addictive? It certainly isn’t for stability; the game is constantly having to go down for maintenance. Even as I write this, it’s under maintenance yet again.   The community is about the same as it always is for MMOs; a blend of kind veterans, clueless newbies and complete trolls.  Whatever it may be, however, it has enraptured me with its mysterious charm.

So that’s what I’ve been doing. That and work.

Anyway, that’s my spot for this week. Apologies for shortness, I’m a little behind on work. Please feel free to leave suggestions for next week’s topic in the comments section~

Rating Sys and Butt Fuck

I figure’d I’d set up a rating system and let you decide if the topic was good or not.

Anyway, I already talked about this on the show today but they were holding the Republican Banana debates on Faux news and after watching a few and seeing Rick Santorum, I just lawl’d outright. It was a long haul, but I think Obama’s only real threat is Rick Perry.  I hate republican snobs,  cause they are such asses a lot of the time. But it was fun to watch people attack Obama for no reason. 🙂

Anyway,  not much else to talk about other than this:

The intro went something like this…

Pronunciation: san-TOR-um
Function: noun
Savage Love – 05/29/03

1. The frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex.

2. Former Senator Rick Santorum

Just a new meme to expose Republican Senator Rick Santorum….

Short show is short, enjoy the rest of your day.

Better late than never~

Hi, all~ Sorry for the delay; last week, I was sick and couldn’t think of much to write. I still can’t think of much to write, but we’ll go ahead with this anyway.

This week, we will be reviewing the Sam and Max series, specifically the later ones.  If you’re not familiar with it, Sam and Max is a series of point-and-click adventure games known for its quirky characters and patented Lucas Arts sense of humor, even though the majority of the series was made by Telltale Games. The series was abandoned for many years before being revived in 2006 in an episodic format, one of the first such games.

Overall, I’ve enjoyed playing through these games. The humor aspects are top-notch, the puzzles are challenging but not frustratingly so, and the episodic format makes it easier to work into a busy schedule. The cast is also particularly memorable, from the paranoid convenience clerk Bosco and new-career-every-week Sybil to recurring characters such as the former child stars known as the Soda Poppers to the charismatic and magical yet decidedly strange Hugh Bliss. If you haven’t taken a look at this series before, give it a try.

And that’s pretty much all for now. Remember, if you have something you’d like reviewed or want my opinion on, be sure to suggest it in the comments section. See you next week~

I can’t think of a witty title

Ya that’s what we got lol.

Standard and poohrs can go suck it. Anyway, I got 2 stories for you people regarding Obama and Palin. Enjoy.

Republicans Use Solyndra to Bash Obama’s Plan

House Republicans used a hearing on Solyndra LLC’s slide into bankruptcy to attack the Obama administration’s stimulus plans, past and proposed, showing the issue may linger as a political liability for the White House…

it’s short linked, I have a small attention span for reading news, and many of us do, so short linked.

Neckst up is Pailin’…enjoy peeps.

‘Rogue’ negative book may not hurt Sarah Palin, analysts say

WASHINGTON – Sarah Palin has not revealed whether or not she will run for president, but a new book set for release next week calls her a “freaky sideshow” with a long record of events in her private and personal life indicating she is unfit to lead.

The former Alaska governor’s husband, Todd, has already panned The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin as “full of disgusting lies” and the work of “a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family to the point of moving in right next door to us to harass us and spy on us to satisfy his creepy obsession with my wife.”

But in the eyes of that man, author Joe McGinniss, Sarah Palin can do no right.

In his account of Palin’s life that covers her birth through early 2011, McGinniss paints Palin as a vindictive, selfish woman who has little regard for anything but her personal ambition including — but not limited to — her community, colleagues, friends, family and even a family dog.

However, this scathing assessment of Palin and her family will do little to sway those who either like or loathe the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, says Robert Thompson, a professor of popular culture at Syracuse University in New York.

“If you hate Sarah Palin, you see this book as another kind of thing you can sling quotes to all your friends to talk about how Sarah Palin is a bad thing,” Thompson says. “If you love Sarah Palin, this is yet another example of the media going after this beloved person.”

Some of the claims, such as those about previous drug use and alleged neglect of her children, could provide leads for further investigation if Palin runs for president, Thompson said.

If Palin doesn’t run for president, the book is unlikely to harm or help her, says Gemma Puglisi, an associate professor at American University in Washington and an expert on the media coverage of celebrities.

“I really don’t think it’ll get as much play as it could have gotten if it was in the forefront of the (campaign),” she said, adding that is particularly true if the book does not break any ground.

One new bit of gossip revealed in the book quotes unnamed friends saying the then-unmarried Palin had a romantic encounter with Glen Rice, the NBA and college basketball star when she worked as a sports reporter.

Rice acknowledges the encounter but does not provide explicit details. “‘We hung out mostly at the hotel where the team was staying,’ he told me,” McGinniss writes of Rice. “‘We just hit it off.'”

McGinniss also takes aim at the Palins’ marriage, describing it as “rocky from the start,” which an unnamed source attributed to her “lack of domestic skills.”

“She’d burn water,” an unnamed “old friend” states.

McGinniss backs up these assertions with multiple on- and off-the-record interviews with current and former Wasilla residents who felt they were wronged by Palin or members of her family.

In one interview, Lyda Green, a former Alaska state senator and Palin ally, says she ran afoul of Palin when Green endorsed Republican Frank Murkowski for governor. Murkowski, a four-term U.S. senator and father of Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, lost his bid for re-election in 2006 in the Republican primary.

As a result, Green said, she was subjected to public ridicule and harassment at the hands of Palin’s associates and supporters.

“Sarah becoming governor was an insult to educated women,” she said. “Sarah was a know-nothing idiot who hadn’t paid her dues. I think she’s utterly without morals, as well as being paranoid and narcissistic.”

In another, Zane Henning, “a Christian conservative and former North Shore oil worker” tells McGinniss that he was a Palin supporter before he realized she “didn’t know what she was doing” as mayor of Wasilla, the small Alaska town where Palin served as mayor from 1996 to 2002. Henning later filed two ethics complaints against her during her tenure as governor.

“She is too narcissistic to care about her kids … she couldn’t care for a pet,” he said, adding that Palin gave away a puppy given to the family by a neighbor because “she couldn’t be bothered to care for it.”

Scandals, such as Palin’s attempt to have her sister’s ex-husband fired as a state trooper, an incident known as “Troopergate,” are retread in the book as are oft-whispered rumors about her alleged affair with one of husband Todd’s business associates.

That associate, Brad Hanson, denied in a statement that he and Sarah Palin had an extramarital affair. “This is the same old story that went around in 2008,” Hanson said. “It is a complete and outright lie. Todd and Sarah Palin have been good friends for many years, and in fact we still own property together. We sold a former joint business venture for business reasons, nothing more. These attacks are shameful and those making them seem to be out only to destroy good people and make money doing so.”

A review of the book published on The New York Times website called it “dated, petty” and has a “questionable tone.” Todd Palin cited that review while criticizing the book in his statement Thursday.

McGinniss defended his book and his reporting methods in an interview with NBC’s Today show Thursday.

“I think I was as fair as I could possibly have been given the fact that she told all the people who were closest to her not to talk to me,” he said.

In the book, McGinniss, who moved next door to the Palins’ home in Wasilla as he worked on the book, said he just wanted to live peacefully on the other side of their fence. Instead, he wrote, he received harassment and death threats from Palin supporters of all stripes.

In describing the rough treatment he received on cable news and on conservative blogs that described him as a “peeping Tom” and a “stalker” after Palin alerted her fans to his presence on her Facebook page, McGinniss laments, “It doesn’t matter that Alaskan mosquitoes pose more of a threat to Sarah’s children than I do. In Palinland, truth is the first casualty.”

Not short linked cause…Palin. ROFL!!!

Onto finance news.

Worst of both worlds: High prices, stagnant growth

Commentary: Rise in manufacturing output only glint of good news

While some would say we’re in stagflation, the current situation isn’t nearly as dire as it was in the late 1970s when that phrase became popular. Inflation is running 3.8%, not 12%.

There was one piece of positive economic news on Thursday: industrial production increased by 0.2% in August, despite a large drag from reduced utility output. Manufacturing output increased 0.5%, with a healthy boost from motor vehicles, electronics, airplanes, petroleum and appliances.

Stagflatoin? that’s not a fucking word. Also, I think Miley Cyrus  finally came up with a really bad song. WE GOT DA WOOOOOORST OF BOTH WORLDS.

Oh, god, no. Terrible…

Speaking of celeb’s, Sheen’s toast is this monday at 10. Shame, I won’t be able to watch it. I’ll TiVo. 🙂 As for station, ABC. Enjoy yourselves.  Check local listings for times.

Namco has decided to  make another NaRuToe game. Take a look.

Anyway,  away from gaming, we have…THIS!!!

And last but not least, Sankaku.

Police Hunt “Otaku-Like” Man for Asking Directions

I’ll leave the article here. Since, it’s really just Japan and it’s semi-poor judgement about people. =/ not much to mention, but I will leave snippets of the article here.

Police have warned children and the public to be on guard after an “otaku-like” man asked a schoolgirl for directions.

The advisory (such missives are typically deleted without comment if widely questioned):

At 7:40PM on the 12th, and around 8PM the following day, a man used asking directions as a pretence to start talking to a schoolgirl on her way home.

The two men are thought to be the same man, described as being aged 25-35, 170-175cm in height, of medium build and with unkempt hair, wearing trousers and a dark coloured polo shirt, and otaku-like in appearance.

Parents and guardians are advised to have children undertake the following precautions:

Have them carry an anti-crime buzzer

If they encounter a suspicious person, they should not speak to them but instead flee immediately and seek help

Travel in groups wherever possible

Utilise brightly lit and well travelled routes home

Any suspicious activity witnessed should be reported with a 110 call or straight to a police station.

And 2ch had this to say.

“So they want us to report any otaku we see to the police?”

“This is harsh.”

“What do they mean, ‘otaku-like’!?”

“That is really harsh…”

“They actually wrote that. Harsh discrimination right there.”

“What do they even mean by that?”

“Being an otaku is about being immersed in a particular hobby – how can you tell that from what they look like?”

“Didn’t you know? ‘Otaku’ just means ‘creepy guy’!”

“The whole report is a bit suspect really.”

“This is an official advisory by the Kumamoto police? Damn…”

“What do you expect?”

“What have you lot been doing to that poor girl?”

“What part of this is even a crime?”

“It’ll be an offence under prefectural anti-nuisance ordinances, mark my words.”

“I doubt you lot have the guts to even ask a girl for directions in any case.”

“How can they say ‘otaku-like’? What the hell is that supposed to point out?”

“Try looking in a mirror!”

“Anyone being asked the directions by you people would want to report it.”

“Otaku angry at being called otaku-like.”

“Stop crying guys.”

“What do they mean ‘using the pretence of asking for directions’? Wasn’t he just asking for directions? And nobody would tell him so he had to keep asking or something, right?”

“What should an otaku do if they get lost?”

“Use your phone or try a police box. You mustn’t frighten normal people going about their business.”

“It’s no good. The only way to avoid this stuff is to become a hikikomori!”

“This is like that one about police looking for a man who smiled at a schoolgirl…”

“Otaku-like… as if the perpetrators of most crimes against children aren’t their parents and guardians?”

That’s our show for today’ folks, enjoy the ride home.

Grass Squared and Sawd

The Grasshole show is up on season 2, and we are now called Grass² (Grass Squared).  I will be looking into more stuff now and hopefully proved you with a better show.   Last  show was done the previous day, 7:00 PM PDT, as of this day, if you haven’t seen it go see it now.

As for the blog and show itself, I feel it is necessary to promote this blog and show people what is out there; Whether it be Mike Relm, YattaroSB’s comics, or just general wackiness from ChuggaaConroy. As you can see here,  I have now also added the addition of opening link’s in tabs on all links in the blog to allow for better browsing.

‘It’s the time’s mate.’

Ya well in 2011, I still party like it’s 1990.

Yesterday’s celebration was kinda tiring and I think I may need to catch up on sleep,  buuuut that’s not a problem for me.

Now, let’s talk about Bush #2; Aka Rick perry.

He’s already beaten Romney in slayer and continues to fight him in 1-on-1 debating.
So anyway, I passed out for a bit, and well, holy shit, I find out I was late for class, so my mom; whom I thank god is still nice enough to send me to class; sent me over. And I go over to the cafeteria to get some food, and you’ll never guess this, but apparently soda and water are $1.50 now. When did this happen?

Anyway, here is your moment of Zen.
